Due to COVID-19, of course, SLN’s last in-person meeting was held in March 2020. We were successful in holding ZOOM Membership Meetings from September 2020 to May 2021. The Board felt it was time to go LIVE, so SLN held its first in-person meeting on Tuesday, September 7. Since 1964 (the inception of SLN), the SLN Membership Meetings have been held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.

In order to use the large auditorium at The Athenaeum and promote safe, social distancing, the September meeting and the remaining meetings in 2021 will be held the first Tuesday of the month as that is when the big auditorium is available. Needless to say, we were a little rusty in getting a live meeting going.

As the podium was a safe distance from the attendees, Alderman Waguespack took his mask off to address the crowd. See the Newsletter for a recap of his topics.

Be sure to read the rest, as the Newsletter is full of community news.
