LVCC Note: Wrigley Field Meeting

From our friends at the Lakeview Citizens Council

Dear Neighbors,

The Chicago Cubs are proposing new revisions to the 2013 Planned Development and Landmark Commission approvals.  The proposal includes the installation of five new outfield signs, new bleacher seats, new outfield lights, and a second electronic scoreboard.

A community meeting will be held to discuss these revisions on Monday, July 7 at 6:30 pm at the 19th District Police Station, 850 W. Addison.

The Cubs renderings can be seen here.  Details are still being added.

The Commission on Chicago Landmarks will meet on July 10 and may consider these requests at that meeting.

Save the date for our return in the fall.

Our next membership meeting is Tuesday, September 9 with Alderman Scott Waguespack.

Welcome a new business to the neighborhood

If you can’t wait for our party, you’re invited to a special neighborhood night at Beermiscuous:

After a long journey to find the right location, obtain dual operating licenses (tavern & packaged goods), build-out an 80-year old retail space, and hire a first-of-its-kind Beerista staff, Beermiscuous is ready to open to the public on Saturday, June 28!

Beermiscuous brings a unique, café-style craft beer experience to Chicagoland with a curated selection of 12 rotating drafts and more than 300 bottle/can options for in-café enjoyment or off-premises consumption. There’s a heavy focus on local beers, with 50 percent of inventory from Chicago and Midwest breweries.

In support of our neighbors and neighborhood, we decided to open up a day before our announced grand opening for an informal, local-only publicized Neighborhood Sneak Peek:
Friday, June 27
5 to 11 PM
