Agenda:

Plans will be presented for the property at 1424 W. Diversey to change the zoning from RT3.5 to RT4 for the purpose constructing a TWO unit condominium residential building that will be 38 feet tall. The CURRENT ZONING allows for the construction of a TWO unit condominium building with a height of 35 feet and smaller square footage of the units. PLEASE NOTE! This zoning change is supported by the SLN Zoning Review Committee and is consistent with the zoning criteria for Diversey Pkwy. passed by the SLN membership several years ago and approved by the Alderman.

Our by-laws state that in order to vote on an issue at a  membership meeting, you must be a member of the organization for the previous two months, or live/own within one block of an issue and are able to provide ID to prove that. There are never any exceptions to this.

Lakeview Pantry: SLN members donate $289

Thanks to the members and friends who attended the SLN Holiday Party, we were able to raise $289 for the Lakeview Pantry.

In addition to thanking the fabulous folks  Will’s Northwoods Tap for the sliders, curds, rings and more, we want to thank Fiorentino’s Cucina Italiana  for the delicious pasta.

We’ll be back to business at a special membership meeting on January 6.  Watch this website for more information.

Pillars of the Park

We’re happy to announce that the pillars at the entrance of the South Lakeview Playlot on Wolfram have finally been repaired.  The original design topped the columns with large flower-pots. Unfortunately, the flowerpots cracked and pieces fell off.  The columns now feature a stone top that should last forever.

Holiday Party & Newsletter

It’s time for the annual Holiday Party at Will’s Northwoods Inn, 3030 N. Racine, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM on Tuesday, December 9.

  • In the heated tent and back bar area.
  • Plenty of seating and hooks for your coats.
  • Mini burgers and appetizers including Wisconsin cheese curds from Will’s kitchen.
  • Open bar-beer, wine, well drinks and pop.
  • Members, family and friends are invited.

NOTE: your membership dues must be paid and up to date in order to attend the Holiday Party.
