The South Lakeview Park Advisory Committee is proud to announce the line-up for our 2012 Tuesdays in the Park series!

Bring a picnic dinner and enjoy these family friendly acts:

All events start at 6pm.

There is no admission fee.

Agenda:

  1. Beer, Wine & Cocktails (FREE !!!)
  2. Hot Dogs & Brats (also FREE !!!)

Your Beer, Wine, Well Cocktails and Pop will be picked up by SLN.

Wills Northwoods will graciously donate hot dogs and SLN is upgrading to include some Wisconsin Brats.

Officers and Directors will also be providing various fruit salad and/or potato-type salad dishes.

So, enjoy a free Tuesday night of drinks and food at Will’s cozy Beer Garden. Bring a new member. Start getting in shape by having 1 or 2 drinks every day until July 10.

All free drinks will end promptly at 8:30PM Central Daylight Savings Time.

May 15 meeting notice and news of the April meeting

The next meeting of South Lakeview Neighbors has moved to May 15.

All members are invited to join us starting at 7PM for some warm-up drinks and for pizza and more beer and wine that will follow the conclusion of the meeting issues. This is the final formal meeting of the season.

What happened at the April meeting?

  • Two representatives from ComEd, Ms. Vanessa Williams and Ms. Kelly Jones, provided a presentation on the Alternative Energy Program.
  • The potential owner/developer of the 1244 W. George St property presented plans for a single family house to be built under a zoning change from M-1-2 to RT-4.
  • The Athenaeum, which is owned by St. Alphonsus, but was leased to a theater group has been allowed to run down over the last few years, with few performances at the site. St. Alphonsus has now taken over the operations of the Athenaeum.
